How The Session Works

The Session:
  • Assuming you adore my work and have viewed my work already. Please check out my “Sessions Rate” page and see if my rates are ok with your pocket book.
  • Check your calendar, and pick at least 3 dates that would work for you and write them down.
  • I prefer to shoot the hour before sundown. So 6:30-ish as of April, May and June. However, if you want an earlier time, as long as we find some shade {because I don’t shoot in harsh sun} that will be ok with me.
  • After viewing my rates and you are “definitely” in, shoot me an email with all the info above. Dates, Time and Session you are interested in please also include your First and Last Name & your Phone number. EMAIL: Anita@ForeverMoorePhotography.com Usually I will be in touch with you within 24 hours, but just incase, please give me 48 hours.
  • Once we confirm the day, you are all penciled in but that doesn’t mean you can’t reschedule if needed.

My Locations:

  • I like to keep the locations simple but I am not oppose to your requests. The reason I keep them simple is because anything too busy takes away from you and yours. I am a natural light, lifestyle portraiture and shooting in a fancy busy place, is not so natural.
  • I like shooting in places such as: Tall grassy areas, parks, beaches or old buildings.
  • For Seniors, I love shooting in train tracks, old train stations, old gas stations, old buildings, loading docs or the old Potato Factory here in Santa Maria but I am open to any requests.
  • For new borns, of course those are done in your own home.

2 Days Before Session:

  • Two days before the session, I will call you to confirm. If we are still on, and things are smooth we will decide where to meet. I will give you directions.

What to Wear:

  • I like to stick to light colors. Pastels, blues, light yellows, soft pinks, khaki or off whites. However, anything will do really. If it’s a family session, you don’t all have to dress the same, being different and unique is the way I like it. No need to “overdo” yourself or children as this will be a memory. Memories are not driven by perfection and neither should your family portraits.
  • However, many families like to dress similar and there is nothing wrong with that. Whatever floats your boat is totally fine with me. I don’t mind what you wear, as long as I can capture some happy moments and some “true” love, that’s all that matters.

The Session:

  • The session is meant to be on a total relaxed level with of course those occasional family “jump” “run” and “tackle dad” flares. But for the most part, I want you to be you, and even pretend I’m not there but if being silly and NON relaxed is “you” then by all means, be silly!

  • The sessions normally last about an hour. Unless of course it is a “Senior” portrait session or a promotional “Mini Session”. One hour seems like a long time but honestly, time flies.
  • Also, your cash payment is due at the time of session. Due to previous bad experiences with checks, cash is only accepted at the time of session.

After the Session:

  • Please allow up to two weeks to view your photos. We can meet at Starbucks or even Panera here in Santa Maria, unless you live farther away, then we meet somewhere more convenient for you.
  • Out of the entire session, I choose the best 25 images {or more depending on session selection} and process those images to perfection. Once we meet up for viewing, you chose your 15 images {or more depending on session selection} and you will have your personalized High-resolution image disc, the very next day {for locals only}. Your CD will also include your cash receipt.
